Relative eggcase mass was centred to a mean of zero and standard deviation of one before fitting. Eggcase presence was measured as a 0/1 response. A total of 432 observations of attack behaviour were made from 28 individuals, while 345 observations of retreating behaviour were made from 27 individuals.
