Brevilin A induces morphological changes and apoptosis in U87 glioblastoma cells.

Notes: (A) U87 cells were cultured in 96-well plates overnight and treated with indicated concentrations of Brevilin A for 24 hours. Following treatment, the cells, morphological changes were observed and photographed. Scale bar =100 µm. (B) U87 cells were cultured in six-well plates overnight and then treated with indicated concentrations of Brevilin A for 24 hours. The floating and adherent cells were collected, washed with PBS, and incubated with Annexin V–FITC and PI for 15 minutes in the dark according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After filtration, the samples were analyzed by flow cytometry for the percentage of apoptotic cells. (C) Data are expressed as mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. Columns with different superscript letters differ significantly (P<0.05).
