Using an ELISA technique, we analyzed (A) MIF and (B) sCD74 concentrations in plasma samples of healthy volunteers (n=4), patients with coronary heart disease (CHD; n=5), and patients with advanced heart failure (HF; n=4). C, Ratio of CD74/MIF was calculated by dividing the molar serum concentration of circulating CD74 (19.4 kDa) by MIF (12.5 kDa).
