Enrollment of patients aged ≥65 years with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF). From January 1, 2009, to December 31, 2016, this study evaluated 5818 patients with normal liver function vs 633 patients with impaired liver function. The index date was defined as the first date of prescribing non–vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant (NOAC) or warfarin.
