Overview of the computational model. The reconstructed arterial geometry represents the bifurcation of the internal carotid artery (ICA) into the anterior cerebral artery (ACA, left branch) and the MCA (right branch). Compartmental model solves transient plasma concentrations of free phase proteins for a given therapeutic regimen which are then used as inputs for the 3D clot dissolution model.
