6.45. | Constant motivation of the patient to regularly take the medication prescribed for adjuvant therapy, particularly endocrine therapy (e.g. tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors), is an essential part of follow-up care. The patient must be questioned in detail about how well she tolerates the therapy and about any side effects. Appropriate measures must be taken to treat any complaints. Premature discontinuation of therapy can be prevented by changing the endocrine therapy. |
