Antitumor effects of curcumin on mice injected with RN5 malignant mesothelioma cells in vivo. The mice received intraperitoneal injections with curcumin or cisplatin every 5 days; cisplatin was used as a positive control. The experiment was terminated and the mice were sacrificed on day 25 after the tumor challenge. There were 4-5 mice in each experimental group. (A) Antitumor effects of curcumin at a low (200 mg/kg) or high dose (500 mg/kg), or cisplatin (5 mg/kg). (B) Tumor weight of mice treated with curcumin or cisplatin on day 25.
