ManLAM induces less TNF-α than lipoproteins or lipoglycans that bind to TLR2 with higher affinity. BMDMs from wild-type mice (A) or THP1 cells (B) were incubated for 24 h with LM, ManLAM, PILAM, PIM6, or LprG at the indicated concentrations (shown in log scale). The supernatants were harvested, and TNF-α production was determined by ELISA. The results are representative of three independent experiments.
