Ptch2 does not repress Smo-dependent Hh signaling. Ptch2-deficient cells were derived from Ptch1-deficient MEFs. The ability of Ptch1 or Ptch2 to repress Hh signaling in a transient assay was assessed by titrating increasing levels of constructs expressing these two proteins.
