(A) A total of 398 metabolic reactions were introduced in Sco4, thereby expanding the coverage in both primary and secondary metabolism. (B) These 398 curated reactions were identified through either KEGG- and/or MetaCyc-based de novo reconstructions. (C) Metabolites from these new reactions are closely associated with the previous S. coelicolor GEM. Over 95% of the reactions have one or more metabolites included in iMK1208, and 36 reactions have all reactants and products included in the previous model, resulting in increased connectivity of the network; while only 19 reactions have all newly introduced metabolites, representing completely new stoichiometric network reconstructed by RAVEN 2.0.
