BMP-9 treatment increases expression of Slco1a4 mRNA transcript in rat brain microvessels. Animals were treated with 0.9% saline, BMP-9 alone (1 μg/kg, i.p.; 6 hours) or BMP-9 in the presence of LDN193189 (10 mg/kg, i.p.; 1-hour pretreatment) and expression of Slco1a4 mRNA in rat brain microvessels was evaluated. Results are expressed as mean ± S.D. of three experiments, with each treatment group consisting of three individual animals.
