Interviews and focus groups to examine local conceptualizations of resilience took place in Jerash. In‐depth focus groups discussion on the face validity of the Child and Youth Resilience Measure (CYRM) items and an initial pilot of its Arabic translation took place in Mafraq. A third focus group discussion on the CYRM items took place at the Zaatari refugee camp, located east of Mafraq. The final survey data collection took place at Irbid, Jerash, Mafraq, and Zarqa.
