Zinc suppresses PCa cell growth in vivo. (A) Mouse TRAMP-C2 cells were subcutaneously inoculated into syngeneic mice and xenograft tumor growth was monitored after intraperitoneal injection of 10 mg/kg ZnCl₂ twice a week. (B) After animals were sacrificed, tumors were collected and lysed, and AR expression was detected by Western blotting. (C) Seven-week-old male mice were treated with 10 or 20 mg/kg ZnCl₂ twice by peritoneal injection. Nine days later, whole prostates were isolated and subjected to Western blot analysis. (D,E) Immunohistochemical analyses of tumors from (A,D) and normal prostates from (C,E) were performed. Bars indicate 100 µm.
