Beclin silencing counteracts the cytotoxic effects of litchi extracts. After silencing, siRNA against beclin-1 (siBeclin) and scramble control transfected cells were subjected to western blot analysis to verify beclin-1 silencing. An MTT assay was performed after treating transfected cells with litchi endocarp extracts. All histograms shown are representative of three independent experiments.
