Tip	Possible benefit
Long sheath	adds proximal support
Stiff glidewire	helps to track the system higher up in the carotid to add stability
Use triaxial system	avoid any exchanges
Review computed tomography angiography of the head and neck	allows you to pick the most appropriate long catheter (VTK, Simmons, Vert)
Place clot in proximal third of stent retriever	clot will not slip away
Place balloon guide catheter as high up as possible	adds support and more suction
Fluff stent retriever	integrate clot more
Have a backup system	nothing works 100% of the time
