Macrophage populations in coinfected mice have increased MHC II and decreased CD206 compared to singly-infected mice. Ly6GF480+CD11c+ macrophages in the BALF and lung tissue were analyzed for the expression of the MHC II and CD206 on days 1 and 3 post-K. oxytoca infection (A,B). Macrophage subsets were classified as CD206MHC II+, CD206+MHC II+, CD206+MHC II, and CD206MHC II and quantified in the BALF (C,E) and lung tissue (D,F) on days 1 and 3 post-K. oxytoca. * denotes P ≤ 0.05 between indicated groups. Data were analyzed with ANOVA followed by Tukey's multiple comparison tests. Error bars represent SEM. Data are combined from at least four independent experiments with at least four mice per group.
