CpGUS and EcGUS exhibit higher catalytic efficiency (k_cat/K_M) than do the other GUSs. Comparison of k_cat/K_M values of the five bacterial GUSs used in this study for substrates 4, 5, 10, 12, 17, and 18 indicating the superior catalytic efficiency of CpGUS and EcGUS compared with RgGUS, BfGUS, and BifdGUS.
