Schematic illustration of the proposed mechanisms of miR‐16 functions as a tumor suppressor in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). MiR‐16 is downregulated in OSCC tissues and cell lines. It could inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis by directly targeting AKT3 and BCL2L2.
