Figure 3.

A 58-year-old female with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage IBI squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix. (a, b) Axial and sagittal T2 weighted images show an intermediate signal intensity cervical mass with interruption of the cervical stromal ring in the right side, without definite extracervical extension (arrow). (c–e) Conventional DWI at b = 0 s mm2, b = 1000 s mm2, and corresponding ADC map with placement of ROI. The ADC value of the lesion is 0.945 × 10−3 mm2 s−1. (f–h) Reduced FOV DWI at b = 0 s mm2, b = 800 s mm2, and corresponding ADC map with placement of ROI. The ADC value of the lesion is 0.915 × 10−3 mm2 s1. Compared with conventional DWI, reduced FOV images show the lesion with a clear border and fewer artifacts. ADC, apparent diffusion coefficient; DWI, diffusion-weighted imaging; FOV, field-of-view; ROI, region of interest.
