Solid UV/Vis spectra of hydroentangled 100% greige cotton with in situ copper nanoparticles (AC) and adsorbed (D). Spectra (AC) were pretreated with NaOH, treated with different concentrations of copper chloride solution, and reduced with ascorbic acid. Spectrum D was pad-dry treated with copper chloride in an ascorbic acid solution. The copper nanoparticle (CuNP) fabric samples exhibited a characteristic localized surface plasmon resonance peak at ~580 mn and the adsorbed sample copper oxide at ~800 nm.
