The vegetation bands are aligned transverse to the slope and arc convex-upslope. The banded patterns in image (b), adapted from [5], appear within topographic depressions and the darker unpatterned regions of image (c), adapted from [6], are reported to be slightly elevated relative to the vegetation arcs.
