The peaks at m/z 3,277 and m/z 6,594 served as the x- and y-axes, respectively. The intensities of the characteristic peaks were expressed in arbitrary intensity units. The ellipses represent the 95% confidence intervals of peak intensities for each MLST type. In the preliminary analysis, the various MLST types could not be satisfactorily separated based only on two characteristic peaks. ST5: red crosses, ST59: green circles, ST239: blue squares, and other ST types: yellow diamonds.
