10⁸ cells of donor E. coli (pRK2013) and recipient E. coli (HB101) were mixed and incubated in absence or presence of 12.5 μg of lawsone/ml at 37°C for 24 h. The growth was serially diluted and plated out to score number of transconjugants formed. The data represents average values of two parallel experiments.
