The Mann-Whitney U test was used to determine significant differences between apical and mid-ventricular ballooning patterns, basal patterns were excluded in the statistical analysis. LVEF: left ventricular ejection fraction, RURE: radial - CURE: circumferential uniformity ratio estimate.
