VAMP711 interacts with PM H+-ATPase AHA1. A, Luciferase complementation assay. The indicated constructs were expressed in Nicotiana benthamiana leaves. 1, AHA1Nluc and ClucDDM1; 2 and 3, AHA1Nluc and ClucVAMP711; 4, DDM1Nluc and ClucVAMP711. The luciferase signal was detected using a cooled CCD camera (iKon-L936; Andor Tech). B, ABA induced the interaction between AHA1 and VAMP711. AHA1Nluc and ClucVAMP711 were transformed into N. benthamiana leaves. After a 3-d incubation, the leaves were treated with or without ABA. The luciferase value was collected using a spectrophotometer.Error bars represent sd (small leaves acquired by a leaf punch, number, 10); Student’s t test was used to assess statistical significance (P ≤ 0.05). Significant differences were represented by different lowercase letters.
