Alveolar macrophages were isolated from the C57 mice and stimulated with recombinant IL-4 (rIL-4), rTGF-β, and rIFN-γ with (+) and without (–) in vitro siRNA silencing of Lama1 (Lama1 Si). (A) Expression of macrophage alternative activation markers was evaluated by qRT-PCR after 24-hour stimulation with rIL-4 (20 ng/ml). (B) Expression of alveolar macrophage fibrotic/reparative markers evaluated by qRT-PCR after 24-hour stimulation with rTGF-β1 (20 ng/ml).
