The amount of MBP (in terms of pixel count) increased significantly with longer exposure to AA, and with addition of exogenous SCs. B) The ratio of the volume of MBP to the volume of B-III tubulin more clearly demonstrates the effects of longer exposure to AA and addition of endogenous cells to induce the formation of SCs from the proliferative to the myelinating phenotype.
