S. mansoni eggs (Sm) impair clearance of Salmonella (STm) infection. Mice were injected intraperitoneally with Sm and 8 days later they were orally infected with STm. Mice were sacrificed on day 1 (A), week 2 (B), and week 5 (C) p.i.. Feces were collected three and four weeks p.i.. (D). Each data point represents one animal and the means + SD are shown (n = 5–10 mice per group). Dashed line indicates detection limit.
