Effect of L. barbarum extracts on reactive oxygen species (ROS) production of ARPE19 cells after UVB irradiation exposure. (a) ARPE-19 cells pretreated with PBS or L. barbarum extracts LBA and LBE 25 and 50 μg/mL for 2 hr. After being exposed to 50 mJ/cm² UVB irradiation, cells were harvested and subjected to a flow cytometer-based DCFDA staining assay, which is oxidized by ROS to the high fluorescence of DCF for detecting the changes of H₂O₂ in cells.
