A long-lasting NSC population in the adult hippocampus. GFP-positive neuroblasts were observed in the SGZ 6 months after LV PGK-GFP injection. Some GFP⁺ cells incorporated BrdU (A) and maintained the expression of SOX2 (B), indicating that LV PGK-GFP-labeled NSC populations retained the proliferation capacity over a six-month tracing period.
