Emotional reactivity in the neutral and analogue trauma condition as a function of experimental trauma induction paradigm. Emotional responses of subjective anxiety, arousal, stress and helplessness as well as physiological arousal by heart rate in beats per minute (BPM) and skin conductance in microSiemens (μS) Virtual Reality or Script-Driven Imagery stress induction compared to the respective neutral situation condition. Significant effects were found for anxiety (Condition, Method x Condition), arousal (Condition, Method, Method x Condition), stress (Condition, Method x Condition), helplessness (Condition, Method x Condition), Heart Rate (Condition, Method, Method x Condition) and Skin Conductance (Condition, Method) reactivity. Error bars represent standard errors of the mean.
