The LG domain interacts with integrin receptors and with the large intraluminal loop between the seventh and eighth transmembrane domains of SV2A, which is also the receptor for botulinum toxins A and E (BtxA and BtxE). The N-terminal of SV2A interacts with the C2B domain of synaptotagmin 2.
