Cadmium inhibited neutrophil chemotactic response to chemoattractants. A, Neutrophils were isolated from bone marrow of untreated mice or mice exposed to Cd (30 mg/l CdCl2 in drinking water) for 8 weeks, and examined for migration in response to different concentrations of fMLF or WKYMVm (W peptide). B, Neutrophils from untreated mice were incubated with different concentrations of CdCl2 for 30 min, and then examined for chemotactic response to fMLF or W peptide. Data are mean ± SD, data in (A) are representative results of 2 experiments with 5 animals in each group.
