A 22-year-old male patient in group 1 took orally 80 ml PQ. The lung CT signs on the 7th day after treatment are displayed, and the results manifested a double lung infection and pleural effusion formation. Due to the progressive appearance of severe hypoxemia and respiratory failure, ventilator-assisted respiration was performed, with the lowest PaO2 of 31 mmHg. The patient died of acute lung injury on the 10th day. PQ, paraquat; CT, computed tomography; PaO2, partial pressure of oxygen.
