Sample IDs from COPD risk cohort and normal healthy cohort are indicated by orange and blue labels beneath the color bars. The OTUs of low abundance (median percentage < 1%) are collapsed into one category “other.otus”. More detailed summary statistics of all the OTUs for the two cohorts are reported in Table S1. (B). Reproducibility of OTU abundance in technical replicates from normal healthy cohort. The reproducibility was measured as Spearman correlation coefficient between technical replicates across all OTUs (n = 78), common OTUs (median percentage > 0.1%; n = 26) and rare OTUs (median percentage < 0.1%; n = 52).
