Surgery of suprascapular nerve compression and release is shown. (A) After the trapezius muscle was separated, the suprascapular nerve was exposed. (B) The suprascapular nerve was wrapped by a 1 mm x 1 mm x 5-mm polyethylene sheet at the site, which was then ligated by 7-0 nylon sutures at each end. (C) Six weeks later, the suprascapular nerve, the polyethylene sheet, and sutures were exposed. (D) The polyethylene sheet and sutures were removed and the suprascapular nerve was released.
