EFL3-mediated apoptosis in A549 cells was detected by Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining and flow cytometer. (A) E4 quadrant represented cells stained mainly by Annexin-V (early apoptotic cells) and the E2 quadrant represented cells stained by both PI and Annexin-V (late apoptotic). The E1 quadrant represented cells stained mainly by PI and viable cells negative for both Annexin-V and PI appeared in the E3 quadrant.
