Chromatogram of total lipids extracted from the conchocelis of Pyropia yezoensis. Carotenoids were measured using a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system equipped with a diode array detector at 450 nm. Two Develosil C30-UG-5 columns were connected for the analysis. The mobile phase was methanol for 20 min, followed by dichloromethane, increased linearly from 0% to 50% over 20 min, and methanol: Dichloromethane (1:1, v/v) for an additional 20 min.
