EOP suppresses lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated p38 and extracellular regulated kinase (ERK) phosphorylation by EOP in BV-2 microglial cells. BV-2 microglial cell lysates were obtained 30 min post-activation with LPS (100 ng/mL) in the absence or presence of EOP (0.1, 1 and 10 μM). (A) Levels of phospho-p38 and (B) ERK are expressed as a relative change in comparison to the LPS treatment. Densitometric analysis of the p38 and ERK-mitogenactivated protein kinase (MAPK) band are shown in the lower panel. Data are the mean ± standard error of three independent experiments. ### p < 0.001 compared with the control group; * p < 0.05 compared with the LPS-treated group. Significance was determined by one-way analysis of variance followed by Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test.
