CI values for pifithrin-μ (PES) at 20 µM (a); 10 µM (b) and 5 µM (c) in combination with 2.5, 5, 10, 20 and 40 μM oxaliplatin against HT29 cells. CI (Combination index) is a quantitative definition for synergism where CI < 1, antagonism where CI > 1 and additive effect where CI = 1. The average ± SEM of three independent experiments relative to control, ≤0.2% DMSO treated cells.
