Two-bottle choice preferences of Rgs21Δ5/Δ5 (n = 7) and wild-type mice (n = 7) for ascending concentration series of the bitterants quinine sulfate (A), denatonium benzoate (B), the sweeteners sucrose (C) and SC45647 (D), the L-amino acid umami tastant monosodium glutamate in the presence of 10 µM amiloride (E), the salt taste stimulus NaCl (F), and the sour tastant hydrochloric acid (G). Each test was assessed with a 2-way ANOVA. Differences between the groups in preference for specific concentrations of taste solution were determined using Sidak post hoc test to correct for multiple comparisons (*P < 0.05; **P < 0.01; ***P < 0.001; ****P < 0.0001).
