Left ventricular (LV) functional assessment using ECG-gated 18F-FDG PET. (A) Left ventricular Ejection fraction (EF) demonstrated no significant difference between the ZDF rat model and ZL controls. On the contrary, diastolic parameters revealed significant differences between both groups. (B) Peak Filling Rate (PFR). (C) One-third mean filling rate (1/3MFR) and (D) Time to PFR (TPFR)). Hence, diastolic dysfunction with preserved systolic function could be proven in ZDF rats. (Zucker lean (ZL) controls rats and Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats: n = 6, respectively).
