Fig. 5 — Validation of microarray data by quantitative real-time PCR. Quantitative real-time PCR was performed for 4 genes (Cdk6, Pola1, Hmgcs1, and Itga6) from different enriched molecular pathways. Fold change values represent expression levels of genes in non ischemic C57BL/6J-Ins2^Akita (diabetic) tissues normalized to non-ischemic C57BL/6 (non-diabetic tissues) tissues. (n = 3–4/grp and * represents p < 0.05, while ** signifies p < 0.01). The results are consistent with the microarray data results.
