Scatter plots of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, and IL-10 relative mRNA expression levels in the PBMCs of HC (n = 318), PD (n = 312), and NDC (n = 332). Significantly higher levels of TNF-α (p < 0.001), IL-1β (p < 0.001), IL-4 (p < 0.01), IL-6 (p < 0.05), and IL-10 (p < 0.01) were seen in PD patients than those in HC. The levels of TNF-α (p < 0.01), IL-1β (p < 0.01), IL-4 (p < 0.05), IL-6 (p < 0.05), and IL-10 (p < 0.01) expression were also markedly higher in PD than NDC.
