Fecal pellet transit in PYY−/− mouse colon in vitro was unaffected by 20‐min incubation with 1 µ mol L−1 Ex(9‐39) compared with vehicle controls (H2O); however, a further 20‐min incubation with propionate (+Prop; 5 m mol L−1) attenuated basal transit in control colons but not in Ex(9‐39) pretreated colons.
