The EEVN motif of PfHsp70‐x is important for its interaction with human hop in vitro. The representative interaction curves generated from the ELISA analysis of PfHsp70‐x‐hHop association (A) and PfHsp70‐xT‐hHop association (B). The assay was conducted in the presence of varying amounts of hHop towards establishing dose‐dependent association. The assay was repeated in presence of 5 mM ADP for PfHsp70‐x‐hHop association (C) and PfHsp70‐xT‐hHop association (D); and in the presence of 5 mM ATP for PfHsp70‐x‐hHop association (E) and PfHsp70‐xT‐hHop association (F), respectively. The comparison of the relative binding affinities between PfHsp70‐x vs hHop, PfHsp70‐xT versus hHop under different conditions were normalized to the maximum absorbance value obtained at the highest concentration of analyte used (G). The error bars represent the SDs obtained about the means of at least three assays conducted using independently purified recombinant protein batches [Color figure can be viewed at http://wileyonlinelibrary.com]
