Knockdown of UBAP2L inhibited cell proliferation and colony formation, induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, and retarded cell migration and invasion the ability and angiogenic formation in HCC. (A) Cell growth was measured via multiparametric high-content screening (HCS) every day for 5 days after lentivirus infection. Then, SMMC-7721 cell numbers were quantified by Cellomics ArrayScan VTI every day and the cell proliferation rate was analyzed. (B) UBAP2L knockdown reduced colony formation in SMMC-7721 cells. (C) Flowcytometry results showed that the percentage of SMMC-7721 cells transfected with shUBAP2L in the G2/M phase was higher than that in the control group. (D) Flowcytometry showed that the proportion of apoptosis in the shUBAP2L group was remarkably increased compared with that in the control group. Data are shown as means ±SD, *P<0.05, *** P<0.001.
