Summary figure of the identified schizophrenia-related Genetic-brain-cognition mediation pathway. GM reduction in thalamus, putamen, temporal gyrus, cuneus, cerebellum were correlated with fALFF alteration in prefrontal and cerebellum via cortico-subcortico-cerebellar neural circuit. Both imaging phenotypes were significantly correlated with genes like CSMD1, CNTNAP2, DCC, GABBR2 etc. Further mediation tests suggested that the GM abnormalities significantly mediated the association between SNP and fALFF, while fALFF mediated the association between the genetic factors and the working memory performance.
