Benign cutaneous lesions of the torso, extremities, and anogenital region clinically diagnosed as molluscum contagiosum (MC). Examples of lesions misdiagnosed as MC: human papillomavirus (HPV)2-positive cutaneous wart obtained from an 8-year-old child’s leg (C) and HPV6a-positive anogenital wart obtained from a 23-year-old adult patient’s pubic region (D).
