Putative inhibitory pathway of Ac-ME in mediating the inflammatory response. It is assumed that Ac-ME targets the activation of both Src and Syk linked to the activation of intracellular signaling pathway for the nuclear translocation of NF-κB. Suppression of this pathway leads to the downregulation of iNOS-mediated NO production and the expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-6.
